To all,

Holy crap. Forty years??!! Really? Now how did that happen?

Truth be told it's been a good 40...a good ride. I've been blessed with a couple decent varmints and a lovely wife with, thankfully, a high tolerance level.

I spent most of the past four decades in the education field which is ironic as hell-- until I hit Senior High I truly disliked school. Doubly ironic is that Mrs. French...my sixth grade teacher.... prophesied that if I didn't get my butt in gear I'd spend my entire life in 6th grade (the level I ended up teaching much of my career).

Most of the past forty has been in Alaska...a good chunk teaching in rural isolated villages. Also spent a bit of time on a fellowship in Australia, working on boats for NPS, and catching fish for the freezer. Letty and I have two kids that still enjoy spending time with us and a house that is paid off.

Bottom line..... life's decent. I hope the years have been kind to you as well.
